Ceremony

81 Main Street, Maynard MA, 4PM

The Ceremony will take place at The Maynard Trust building, an old bank building in downtown Maynard. It’ll be short and sweet with music, readings, and “I Dos,” followed by a champagne toast!

After the ceremony

Weather permitting, we plan to walk with everyone up the hill and to the party, and we plan to fully make a spectacle of it. Oscar and Henri have been practicing their trumpet skills, and they, along with Al, will lead us through town with music and fanfare. We’ll throw in some other ways for you to make noise, or you can sing, or you can clap, really you are free to do whatever you want to help us celebrate. Kinda like a Pied Piper situation without the rats and kidnapping. If this sounds like something you don’t want to be a part of, that’s fine too. You can drive your car up to the reception or we’ll have transportation available.

The Reception

48 Summer Street, Maynard MA

The reception will be an informal, back yard style party. We will be inside our (generous, wonderful, kind) neighbor’s barn/garage, with a tent attached to extend the space. Much of the area will be covered but outside, so there will be uneven ground. Open bar and cheese and fruit plates will be available upon arrival. We will have a food truck serving dinner which will be there for 3 hours (5-8PM), so visit the truck whenever you’re ready to eat! Food, drinks, and dancing, mostly we just want to celebrate and have a really fun party with the people we love. So we’ll do our best to make it a good time.

Attire

This is not a formal occasion and the most important thing is that you feel comfortable! It is a back yard wedding with uneven ground, and we will be walking from the ceremony to the reception (we will also have rides available) so be sure to wear appropriate footwear. We googled it and there are a lot of options to describe wedding attire! We think we range from festive/daytime to semi-formal. Ert will be in a tux and Biz will be in a dress. Some people are going to go all out and some people prefer jeans. You know which one you are. Sparkles are always welcome. Maybe no jammies?

There is ample parking in downtown Maynard. Or if you prefer to park near the reception, there is street parking on Linden St.
